Every existing building is a storehouse of materials. With the "Design for Disassembly" approach, we consider the entire life cycle of a building. By using yesterday's materials, we take tomorrow's repairability and reuse into account today.

We view existing building materials as a valuable resource. Conservation is essential for a sustainable building practice, for reducing waste and saving grey energy and building sector emissions.

For us, sufficiency means questioning what lies behind standard practice. To spark change in the building sector, we want to rethink issues such as land consumption, use and comfort and we see this as an opportunity to develop new approaches.

We understand architecture as a living and flexible system. We want to create robust and versatile buildings that are filled with life in the long term and can accommodate different future uses.

In order to ensure a sustainable future and safeguard the well-being of people and nature, we are aware of the urgent need to save resources by constructing with local and renewable raw materials. This strengthens local supply chains and also reduces the carbon footprint.

For us, building for people means designing spaces for a constantly changing society. In our eyes, architecture can facilitate communication, strengthen community by enabling us to identify with each other.

Our work unites people who want to change the way we live and work together. To achieve this, we are in favour of holding interdisciplinary discussions on an equal footing. For us, participation means being in dialogue with all those involved.

We understand building as a social and political task that needs to be actively shaped. We are committed to transformation at the political level. We draw attention to current issues, ask questions, initiate discussions and air alternative ideas.
